Wilton Center

Wilton downtown has been redefining itself lately. For decades the center of town teemed with stores that catered to local shopping and services. With the revolution of e-commerce, like most of Connecticut Wilton’s need for its downtown changed. The introduction of more housing for people looking to downsize, or work from home, or shorten that commute to businesses that required easy access changed how Wilton invested in its downtown area. The basic building blocks of suburban strip mall aesthetic grew into a modern village.

Wilton Center now is the not only at crossroads between Norwalk, Danbury, Ridgefield and beyond, it is the crossroads where entertainment, dining, shopping and gathering is expanded. Leading this village renaissance is the Wilton Library. Long known for its world-class programming, the Wilton Library is the central heart beat of Wilton’s cultural zone.

Wilton Center is a place where you can park and explore. Connections between the Norwalk River, and the Wilton Train Station symbolically echo Wilton’s natural scenic outlook on lifestyle.
